Total kilometers: 450
So we decided to make a blog entry once a week for all of you that don’t have the time or just don’t want to read so much for every single day. Let’s see if we can keep up with that. Just look for the headline I put on this entry. Here we go:
From Alta to Kautokeino we still had to walk the street. It was cold and windy most of the time and we had a little rain and snow-rain. We had our first off-road trip for about 2 days which was pretty nice for our knees.
After a short stop in Masi for coffee and getting some food we made the last 3 days to Kautokeino. There we had a restday and met 2 dutch guys who talked us into sending back some stuff to reduce weight (which we did).
After resupplying we finally started with the real trail. The first day was really swampy and we got wet feet. The second day we even got seperated by a river. (Mario was going through, waist deep. I couldn’t do it.) After we met again at the next hut and getting advice that there are more rivers to come like this, we walked and hitchhiked back to Kautokeino.
From there we hitchhiked to Kiruna and took a train to Abisko. So we skipped about 20 days and hope, that the conditions are better here. We also decided to take the shortest way to Spain, no matter if it is the E1 or not. That means we will probably start with the Kungsleden here. Let’s see how that goes.
And now some pictures, because it’s the first entry there will also be some older than this week.
